Before Quest:
Oni-ka was a born an abomination with a human mother and a demon father, both of which he never knew. He was found by his Sensei ( some long name I can’t remember) who insisted on keeping Oni-ka alive when the villagers wanted him dead. The Sensei raised Oni-ka to be an obedient disciplined boy who practiced the art of sword fighting. The villagers however treated Oni-ka less than scum and growing up he was never really surrounded by people that loved him except his Sensei and his neighbor Nancy. One day he snapped and transformed into his demon form attacking a local child and was saved once again by his Sensei from death by the village. Although he had no memory of the incident and the Sensei thought it best to keep it that way because he was still just a child.
During the Quest:
Lacra was the reason that Oni-ka got involved in the quest in the first place. Lacra had wandered into the outskirts and Oni-ka had saved her and agreed to escort her near the border to protect her from the demons. Even though he knew the border was his limit because demons couldn’t crossover to the other side of the continent he was somehow able to and knew immediately that something wasn’t right.
Oni-ka was very useful to the party because he was a good physical fighter who was quick with the sword and knew about demons more than anyone else on the outside.
After the Quest.
After the quest the Demons were sent to another plane and that would have resulted in Oni-ka’s soul being torn apart from being a half. Lacra struck a deal with the Gods who agreed to let Oni-ka stay on the human planes if Lacra gave up a portion of her life span. Oni-ka stayed and got married to Lacra and the two of them had a son Hiyotashi and lived outside of the main city by the river. Sadly both of their time spans ran out when Hiyo was only 9 and they left him to Serei and Kelt.
