A Jewish girl is mending up a boy who is missing half his body and an arm. The boy isn’t dead but looks to be still alive. The expression on the girl’s face is sad which represents a certain disdain in helping a Muslim boy who is bloodied and gruesome. I did this to represent that in both religions the wounds of war have been so deep that an attempt to patch and ‘mend’ ties together will be near impossible and a hard task.
